Have you ever had an instance when you wanted a YouTube Video to automatically play when someone clicked on your page?
If you work with video long enough I can guarantee there will come a time when you will want to Have your video Autoplay!
For example, I do alot of PPC (pay per click) advertising and many times I have videos in my ads, and when someone clicks on my ad I want the video to start playing automatically, instead of making the person click to play the video. This is a simple marketing strategy to make certain you get your message out, because there are people that simply won’t click on your video to make it play.
What I am going to do next is demonstrate “HOW TO AUTOPLAY A YOUTUBE VIDEO” via screen capture, and you can see just how simple it is to do.
Also before you watch the video I just want to let you know that if you ever have any questions for me, simply click on the big blue button on the right side of my blog that says “Got Questions Ask Me”, I will be glad to answer any of your questions!

Hi Joseph! Great video. Could you post a picture of the code, where you inserted the new code, and what that was. I couldn’t see it on the video well enough to make proper notes! I have been looking for this information for a while. Thank you!

Thanks!

Hi Joseph
Great info I had forgotten how to do that so this time I wrote it down thanks. I have to say though I don’t do it very often as I find it a little annoying when I go to a site and the video autoplays as I have a small download allowance it don’t like to use it up unless it is a video I want to see.

Belinda, I know sometimes videos that autoplay can be annoying, but sometimes when your video is part of an ad on a capture page, you actually want it to play automatically. I do understand what you are saying though. Thanks for your comment!

Hey Joseph,
Great tutorial video! There are huge advantages to having the auto-play function added to your embedded YouTube video. Although, I would still be careful on where you set it up. One place I would not use it is if a had a welcome video on the sidebar of my blog. That would mean that the video would start to auto-play each time your visitor navigates to a new area of your blog. They would have to keep pushing the pause button all the time…just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the heads-up. I am one of those people who absolutely hate youtube videos so I know it is sometimes necessary to do the autoplay. If it starts playing on its own I might watch it, but to click on one more of an endless stream of youtube infomercials is just too much.
