Do you have a Daily Method of Operation? Also known as a DMO.
When I first started in Network Marketing I spent way too much time just playing around on the internet, checking my email, snooping around on Facebook and Twitter. Well you get the idea. I just plain wasted alot of time.
Unfortunately this is what many people new to this industry do. They become reactive marketers, instead of proactive marketers.
Network Marketing is not a job. It is a real Brick and Mortar Business. And it must be treated as such. Building a business is very much like building a house, one brick at a time.
At the end of each day, write down 3 to 5 things that you can do the next day that will make you money. Think of these 3 to 5 things as bricks of progress towards building your business.
As far as coming up with things that will make you money. Well, you could write a Squidoo lens, or write a Hubpage. Create a new ad group for your adwords account. Do some prospecting on the social networking sites, or on forums. Write a new Blogpost. Make a new YouTube video. Call some of your leads. You get the idea, just ask yourself , is what I am doing right now making me money?
Every night write down 3 to 5 things on a notepad on the desktop of your computer. That way you will know exactly what you have to do each day.
I challenge you to give this DMO thing a try! I think you will be amazed at the difference having a Daily Method of Operation will make in your business.

Having a plan, and an agenda to work through, keeps us on task. One of the downsides of network marketing for some people is that they are who is responsible for keeping themselves on task. With no Boss, some people get lost and drift and don’t get the success they want. A simple plan like this is a great way to get moving in the right direction.

Joe- that was the perfect post for me!
I think it’s no accident that I showed up here for your DMO post; I’m in that boat right now and tired of bailing out lost time. No wonder people get so tired in their lives and progressibley get less done.
This is not just true for Network Marketers. I see my friends over the years growing older, really needing to do more to keep up with the necesities of living a decent life, yet apparently having less time to do so. And when we question each other, it’s obvious that we HAVE the time – but our priorities need to shift.
Today is the first day that I have decided to hold myself to accountable for every half-hour I am awake and I’m already running over, thinking about what I want to say, trying to decide, switching words around; but I’ve never attempted to focus in my life, adn the cost has not only been that I was slow to get there in my first career, but that the time I spent NOT doing the big things cost me ENERGY, too.
Thanks for showing up in my life just as I was taking the scenic route yet again. I’m gonna get back on track, now…
